Job Description

Position:

High School History Teacher.

Responsibilities:

Design and implement engaging project-based learning experiences aligned with curriculum standards and student interests. Facilitate student-centered instruction that promotes inquiry, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Mentor and guide students through the entire project lifecycle, from ideation and planning to execution and reflection. Foster a collaborative classroom environment where students work together to tackle real-world challenges and develop 21st-century skills. Provide ongoing support and feedback to students to help them achieve project goals and academic objectives. Collaborate with colleagues to integrate interdisciplinary concepts and promote cross-curricular connections. Utilize technology and other resources to enhance learning experiences and facilitate student research and exploration. Assess student learning through a variety of methods, including project presentations, portfolios, and performance assessments. Communicate regularly with students, parents, and stakeholders to provide updates on student progress and program initiatives. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in project-based learning and educational trends.

Qualifications:
Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field. Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills. Passion for innovative teaching practices and student-centered learning. Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.

Preferred:

Valid teaching certification/license. Demonstrated experience with project-based learning pedagogy and instructional design.
