Social Studies Teacher Stevens High School The successful candidate must be appropriately certified or certifiable, student centered, possess a positive team oriented attitude, be comfortable in the use of student data and technology and be able to teach World History, US History, NH Studies, Civics and Economics. A Masters in Education or related content area is preferred, but not required.
For this year US. History. Teaching responsibilities could include a combination of economics, history and/or social sciences. Comfortable using technology as STevens is a one-to-one school and implements Google Classroom The ideal candidate will be well-rounded in various approaches to Social Studies pedagogy as well as being a strong collaborator, contributing to group planning and PLCs.

Qualifications:
NH Department of Education Certification with Social Studies endorsement (1500)
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in High School Education or related discipline applicable to teaching assignment.
Master’s Degree in related area preferred
One to three years of successful prior teaching experience for the appropriate grade levels preferred
SUMMARY:
For Grades 9-12. Under the general supervision of the School Principal, to facilitate student success and growth in academic and interpersonal skills through implementing district approved curriculum; documenting teaching and student progress/activities/outcomes; addressing specific educational needs of individual students and by creating a flexible, safe and optimal learning environment; and providing feedback to students, parents and administration regarding student progress, expectations, and goals.
