Roundtable Discussion Instructor Beyond Young LLC Short Hills, NJ 07078 Job Summary Beyond Young Academy is looking for a passionate and inspiring educator to lead our Roundtable Discussion program for grades 2-8. This course is designed to develop students’ public speaking, critical thinking, active listening, and collaborative communication skills through structured conversations on real-world topics. Students will be encouraged to form their own perspectives and learn to engage with others’ ideas respectfully.
Position Duration:
August Summer Camp (Monday to Friday, flexible participation from 1 to 4 weeks) Approximately 4-5 sessions per week, each session lasting about 60 minutes Fall Monday to Friday 4PM-8PM Responsibilities Design and deliver engaging roundtable discussion lessons for students in Grades 2-8 Facilitate student discussions on weekly topics, encouraging independent thinking and respectful dialogue Collaborate with the team on course planning, evaluation, and improvement Provide constructive feedback and encourage student growth Create a supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress reports. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance instructional practices and share resources. Stay updated on educational best practices and participate in professional development opportunities. Qualifications A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university is required; advanced degrees are preferred. Previous teaching experience is highly desirable, with a proven track record of effective instruction. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage students effectively. Demonstrated ability to create an inclusive classroom environment that respects diverse backgrounds and perspectives. Proficiency in using technology for instruction and communication purposes.
