7/8 History Teacher 3.7 3.7 out of 5 stars Roslyn, NY 11576 Buckley Country Day School is seeking a dynamic and dedicated 7/8 History Teacher to join our Upper School faculty beginning in the 2025-2026 academic year. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for history, strong classroom management skills, and a commitment to fostering critical thinking and engagement. Teach Grade 7 and 8 history curriculum, emphasizing inquiry-based learning Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues Contribute to the broader life of the school as an advisor Embrace technology in the classroom Collaborate with colleagues on curricular matters
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in History, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred. Prior experience teaching history to middle school students is preferred. Strong communication and classroom management skills. A deep understanding of the developmental needs of middle school learners.
