Religion Teacher/Part-Time:

 At St. Francis De Sales School, we cherish our faith, our students, our staff, our families and our community. Rooted in the traditions of the Catholic Church, we foster a nurturing and challenging environment where students grow spiritually, intellectually, and socially. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Grades 5-8 Religion Teacher. The successful candidate will play a vital role in nurturing the spiritual growth and development of our students while providing them with a comprehensive understanding of Catholic teachings and traditions. As a member of our faculty, you will have the opportunity to inspire and guide students in their faith journey, helping them to deepen their relationship with God and live out the Gospel values in their daily lives. The teacher is expected to uphold and model the school’s Catholic identity and integrate faith teaching into their classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that effectively convey Catholic teachings and principles in alignment with the school’s curriculum and educational standards.
Foster a supportive classroom environment where students feel valued, respected, and encouraged to explore their faith.
Lead prayer and reflection activities to help students cultivate a personal relationship with God and deepen their understanding of Catholic spirituality.
Integrate technology, multimedia resources, and experiential learning opportunities to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
Collaborate with colleagues to align curriculum, assessments, and instructional strategies to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to Catholic education.
Provide guidance and support to students as they navigate questions of faith and morality.
Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your own knowledge and skills as a Catholic educator.

Preferred Qualifications:

Valid teaching certification/license.
Strong commitment to the teachings and traditions of the Catholic Church, with a personal faith life that serves as a model for students.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students.
Passion for teaching and a genuine desire to inspire and mentor young people in their faith journey.
