Job Description:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The education department at Salve Regina University is seeking a highly qualified and motivated instructor to teach the Student Teaching Seminar Capstone and Secondary Education Student Teaching specific to secondary social studies in a small liberal arts University in the spring of 2026. The instructor is expected to co-teach one course per week and observe senior year student teachers in their field placements. The university is located in scenic Newport, Rhode Island.
Requirements:
A minimum of a master’s degree in Secondary Social Studies education or a related field, as well as secondary teaching experience and other appropriate credentials, if applicable.
Experience teaching secondary social studies
An ability to teach during the evening at the scheduled class time
Experience using technology and interactive electronic materials to support teaching and learning
Experience using a Learning Management System such as
