Foreign Languages and Literatures The Michele Bowman Underwood Department of Modern Languages and Literatures at the University of Miami (FL) is seeking part-time lecturers (adjunct faculty) to teach beginner to intermediate courses in the Fall 2025 semester. The following language programs are in need of part-time support: Arabic
French
Spanish Minimum qualifications include a Masters Degree in the target language or in a relevant field and one-year college-level teaching experience. Applications will be reviewed as received, and this pool will remain open throughout the academic year. An appointment/offer is contingent upon student demand (enrollments) and available funding, with the possibility that final confirmation will not be available until classes begin. The University is not sponsoring visas for this position. At this time, the courses are scheduled to be taught in-person (typically either on a Monday, Wednesday, Friday schedule OR a Tuesday, Thursday schedule). Part-time faculty members should be present at departmental orientation on Friday, August 15, 2025.
