Job Summary The Department of Literature and Language at East Tennessee State University invites applications for a full-time position as Lecturer in Spanish beginning Aug 15, 2025. The position involves a 4/4 teaching load consisting primarily of 1000 and 2000-level Spanish courses, with the opportunity to teach some upper-level courses in the candidate’s area of specialty. The ability to teach Healthcare Spanish and/or Spanish in the Professions is preferred but not required. This is a 9-month renewable contract with benefits, with opportunities for promotion. Located in Northeast Tennessee between the Great Smoky Mountains and the Blue Ridge Mountains, East Tennessee State University is a state-assisted and Carnegie-classified Doctoral Research Intensive University of more than 15,000 students.
