- The principal purpose of the Acquisitions Librarian is to select and recommend titles forpurchasing materials to the academic needs of the library users.
Knowledge Skills and AbilitiesKnowledge of University and State purchasing and accounting regulations particularly in regard to the acquisition of library resourcesKnowledge of emerging trends and best practices in academic librarianship, instructional design, and outcomes-based assessment practicesKnowledge of library policies and proceduresKnowledge of University and State purchasing and accounting regulations, particularly in regard to the acquisitions of library resourcesAbility to use MS Office Products, including Outlook, PowerPoint and ExcelEffective communication skills, verbal, written and interpersonalAbility to plan, schedule and organize workAbility to effectively handle multiple tasks concurrently
- Essential Job Functions
