Job Description As a Security Officer – Library Patrol in Raleigh, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more . As an unarmed patrol officer in a government setting, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide a welcoming presence. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, assisting visitors, and maintaining open communication with staff and the public. This is a driving post, so a valid driver’s license is required. PM Responsibilities:
Provide customer service to clients by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the government facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues. Observe and report any suspicious behavior or security-related incidents to the appropriate authorities. Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points as required by site policies. Support emergency response activities in accordance with established protocols for government locations.
Minimum Requirements:
A valid driver’s license is required for positions that involve driving. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age. North Carolina Security Professional Guard Card is preferred. Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
