Job Description

SYMS Librarian 2.5 2.5 out of 5 stars Durham, NH USNH Employees should apply within Workday through the Jobs Hub app Internal Candidates Exist The SYMS Librarian provides all Summer Youth Music School ensembles with folders of music for each participant. Working with the SYMS Director, SYMS Financial Coordinator, and SYMS ensemble directors, the librarian will ensure the ordering, receipt, distribution, recollection, and proper filing of all parts and scores used at SYMS. This position requires a high degree of experience with instrumental and choral music ensembles as well as excellent communication and organizational skills. Duties/Responsibilities Maintain the SYMS Library (30%) Work with the SYMS Director and Financial Coordinator to order the necessary parts and scores, catalog it in the SYMS filing system when it arrives and return it to the library at the conclusion of camp. Prepare Student Folders of Music (70%) Prepare a unique folder for each student in every ensemble that contains the music required for their performances. Respond to ensemble director requests for replacement or missing parts in a timely manner. Oversee the collection of all parts and scores at the conclusion of camp.

Minimum Qualifications Minimum Acceptable Education & Experience :

Undergraduate degree in music or at least two years of professional experience managing a library of musical scores and parts.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.
