The White River Unified District (WRUD), located in the heart of Vermont’s beautiful White River Valley, is seeking passionate, collaborative educators for the upcoming school year. We are proud members of the White River Valley Supervisory Union and are committed to creating a supportive, student-centered environment across our campuses.

White River Valley School is seeking a forward-thinking and dynamic School Library Media Specialist to lead and manage a modern learning hub. We envision our library as a vibrant space where students Think, Create, Share, and Grow.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily operations of the library/media center, including budgeting, materials selection, and inventory
  • Provide instruction, guidance, and project support to students, educators, and parents through a 24/7 accessible digital library
  • Foster a culture of inquiry, reading, creativity, and research
  • Collaborate with staff to design and co-lead major initiatives like the Capstone project
  • Utilize technology and digital platforms to enhance learning and support multiple literacies
  • Facilitate access to materials through automation, interlibrary loan, and networking systems
  • Engage in faculty meetings and actively support district-level policies related to library programs.
Qualifications:
  • Valid Vermont Educator License with School Librarian or Library Media Specialist endorsement
  • Masters degree in Library Science strongly preferred
  • Strong technology, communication, collaboration and classroom management skills
  • Experience with PreK8 learners and developmentally appropriate programming
  • Positive attitude, sense of humor, and a passion for teaching.
