Assists patrons with various library inquiries, performs a wide range of circulation duties, and supports the planning and implementation of library programs and services.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Assists patrons with various library inquiries; helps patrons find information and materials; provides reader’s advisory assistance.
- Registers patrons for library cards; checks materials in and out; monitors, inspects, and evaluates materials for wear, damage, or defects.
- Prepares materials for circulation.
- Assists library users with electronic devices, library databases and digital resources, general technology questions, and software, including Microsoft office products and Internet browsers.
- Collects monies for payments of library fees and accurately records transactions.
- Assists with collection maintenance to include sorting, shelving, and repairing materials.
- Prepares visually pleasing displays/signage highlighting library materials and programs.
- Assists with the planning and implementation of various library programs and outreach events.
- Provide internal and external customer service
- Provides technical support and guidance to library patrons
- Provides input on future use of technology and business process improvements
- Performing analytical type work
- Coordinating collections
