Library Administrative Assistant Longmeadow Storrs Library is seeking a

PT Library Administrative Assistant:

19 hours per week. The position isresponsible for providing administrative, clerical, and financialsupport to Library department, staff, and Library Director.

Successfulcandidate must have:

Knowledge of relevant Massachusetts General Lawsrelated to essential functions. Knowledge of general practices of anoffice and customer service environment. Ability to multi-task andmanage conflict. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and inwriting. Ability to maintain good public relations and to maintaineffective collaborative working relationships with Town departments,department heads, fellow employees, officials and the general public andto respond in a courteous and professional manner. Ability to meetdeadlines. Ability to work independently. Ability to learn new softwareas needed. Strong communication skills, problem-solving skills andcustomer service skills. Proficient in use of computer programsincluding Microsoft Office and Google Suites, email and internet andwebsite maintenance. Position requires proficiency with Word and Excel.

High School diploma or equivalent, and 1 to 3 years of relatedexperience; or any equivalent combination of education, training,certification, and experience. Budget experience preferred.
