Orono, ME 04473 Orono High School is looking for a student-centered, high-energy, and innovative individual to work with high school students as a Student Success/Library Educational Technician III. In this school-year position, the individual will work with faculty and our student information system to identify students at risk and establish varied systems of support to address barriers to success. The position will be housed primarily within the library and will have responsibilities for library support and supervision as well. Student Success responsibilities include (but are not limited to): utilizing PowerSchool data to identify at-risk students; participating in weekly Student Assistance Team meetings; tracking student progress; providing daily support of work completion; and making 504, special education, alternative education, and other service support referrals to Student Assistance Team as necessary. Library responsibilities include (but are not limited to) supervising students, monitoring attendance, and assisting with daily library management tasks. Current Educational Technician III Authorization from the Maine Department of Education, appropriate certification and CHRC, background in Response to Intervention (RTI), and the ability to work with students who demonstrate challenging behaviors and academic needs are required.
