Staff The Division of Academic Affairs, Library Department is seeking an energetic and motivated individual to join their team. The Library Technical Assistant supports the daily operations of the Reference Department by assisting patrons in-person and online, maintaining materials and equipment, and performing clerical and technical tasks. This position plays an integral role in the development and maintenance of the library’s website and online instructional content. The role also involves supporting departmental logistics, managing digital resources, and supervising student workers. This is a grant-funded, temporary position requiring occasional night and weekend hours. Minimum Requirements for Entry into
Position:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience in library or clerical settings.
Strong customer service and computer skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and flexibility.
Ability to lift and move items up to 30 pounds.
Includes evenings and weekends
Preferred Requirements for Entry into
Position:
Associate degree or equivalent
Experience supervising student assistants or other staff.
Familiarity with library systems, databases, and working at a reference desk.
