Description:
King University Libraries seeks an enthusiastic, service-oriented candidate to join the library staff as a Reference Assistant. This is a part-time position, approximately 29 hours/week, with an anticipated start date of July 28, 2025 (negotiable). For priority consideration, application materials should be submitted by June 20, 2025.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree; exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; excellent computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in an academic library setting; experience conducting research using modern library resources and information formats.
Responsibilities:
The person in this position is responsible for staffing the library service desk, supervising assigned student workers, and providing excellent customer service and basic research assistance to the students, faculty, and staff of King University. The typical schedule for this position during the academic year is Sunday, 6-11 p.m. and Monday through Thursday 5-11 p.m., with responsibility for closing the library each evening. Hours are adjusted during academic breaks and the summer.
