Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet curriculum standards and accommodate various learning styles. Educate students in core subjects while integrating special education techniques as needed. Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a safe and respectful learning environment. Provide individualized support to students, including tutoring and assistance with homework. Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching methods accordingly. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student performance and development. Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities. Foster a supportive atmosphere that encourages students’ emotional and social growth, incorporating principles of childhood development. Experience Previous experience working with students in an educational setting is preferred. Background in childcare or babysitting is advantageous, demonstrating the ability to engage with children effectively. Familiarity with special education practices is a plus, enabling the teacher to support diverse learners. Experience in tutoring or mentoring roles will be beneficial for providing additional academic support. Knowledge of Christian counseling principles can enhance the emotional support provided to students.
