- Benefits## Position SummaryProvide competent classroom and laboratory instruction at varied times and places and in varied formats based on student demand; day or evening, on the Decatur and Huntsville/Research Park Campus or at other sites, including traditional classroom, dual enrollment, hybrid or web format, and distance education.
Classes are taught day, evening, and weekends on the Decatur and Huntsville/Research Park Campuses and several off-campus sites. In addition, multiple forms of distance education are offered.

Applicants must provide information from previous employers documenting full-time related work experience if an offer is made.## Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe recipient of this position will adhere to the general faculty guidelines as specified by the Calhoun Community College Personnel Handbook, the Vice President of Academic Affairs, and the Alabama Community College System policies. Duties include :1. Provide competent classroom and laboratory instruction in the area of credentialed expertise.2. Teach at varied times and places and in varied formats based on student demand; day or evening, at all sites, in the traditional classroom, hybrid, or web format.3. Evaluate the progress of students in all classes according to institutional, divisional, departmental, and individual criteria.4. Collect, maintain, and submit accurate class records including grades, absences, withdrawal, and/or class drop information to appropriate offices.5. Prepare or assist in the preparation of materials used in academic administration when requested, including course syllabi, program outlines, and catalog material.6. Participate in scheduled in-service activities.7. Provide academic and career advice to students and promote student leadership and enrichment experiences.8. Provide advice to the administration on matters pertaining to the instructional program.9. Be prompt and punctual in reporting for work. Maintain assigned office hours.10. Continue as competent instructor in the chosen specialty by seeking new knowledge, improving teaching skills, and updating professional competencies.11. Assist in the development of discipline-specific student learning outcome objectives.12. Assess student learning using multiple assessment strategies.13. Analyze and interpret data relative to student learning and provide feedback to the institution and students for the purpose of improving and expandin student learning.14. Promote positive and productive relationships with service area businesses, industries, and agencies.15. Serve on committees engaged in furthering the work of the institution when appointed or when elected.16. Perform all duties with professionalism.17. Become familiar with institutional policies and procedures as outlined in the

18. Perform other appropriate professional duties and responsibilities as may be assigned.## QualificationsA minimum of an Associates Degree in Aerospace, Manufacturing Technology or related field from an accredited institution is required.
A minimum of three (3) years work experience in Aerospace or related structural assembly including mechanical, electrical and instrumentation components and related testing isrequired.
Demonstrated experience in blueprint reading, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing and electrical layout isrequired.
