High School Mathematics teacher North Broward Preparatory School is seeking a full-time mathematics teacher with experience and expertise in teaching college preparatory and advanced secondary mathematics courses. Such courses may include, but are not limited to, IB/AP Mathematics, Calculus, Pre-Calculus, Algebra 2, Geometry, Algebra 1, Pre-Algebra, Foundational Mathematics, Statistics, and Data Analysis. The educator should feel comfortable developing students’ number sense, conducting courses with practical applications to topics and concepts emphasized in real-world problem-solving and strategies, reinforcing and facilitating the transition from concrete to more abstract mathematical concepts, and creating a practical experience for their students. This teacher will also serve as an advisor to a group of students, meeting with them twice a week for mentoring, academic coaching, leadership training, team building, and community service initiatives. These are all part of helping our students gain social and emotional learning through the five core competencies of self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making. The teacher should be familiar with Standards-Based Learning. Applicant should be comfortable working with technology (iPad, computer, graphing calculators, etc.). Opportunities to participate in sponsoring the Math Club and Math Honor Society, and to help students participate in math competitions both locally, nationally, and internationally are possible.

As a Full-Time Mathematics Teacher at North Broward Preparatory School, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our students.
Your responsibilities will encompass:
• Teaching Excellence
Delivering a comprehensive curriculum that includes IB/AP Mathematics, Calculus, Pre-Calculus, Algebra 2, Geometry, Algebra 1, Pre-Algebra, Foundational Mathematics, Statistics, and Data Analysis.
Cultivating students’ number sense, connecting mathematical concepts to real-world problem-solving, and fostering the transition from concrete to abstract mathematical ideas.
Creating an engaging and practical learning experience for students.
• Advisor Role
Serving as an advisor to a group of students, meeting with them twice a week for mentoring, academic coaching, leadership training, team building, and community service initiatives.
Promoting social and emotional learning through the development of self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making.

PERSONAL SPECIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
Experience with the International Baccalaureate program is not required but helpful.
Familiarity with Rubicon Atlas Maps.
Strong proficiency with Google Suite for education partnered with Canvas learning management system.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint for producing reports and presentations.
Good cross-cultural, interpersonal, and communication skills to interact with diverse nationalities and cultures.
Excellent analytical skills•with the passion and drive to demonstrate and quantify success.
Results orientated with the ability to consistently map efforts against identified Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).Excellent time management skills and flexibility in dealing with multi-functional tasks.
