Middle School Science Teacher (Comprehensive Science
I, II, III
) Middle School Math Teacher (Grade 6 Mathematics, Grade 7 Mathematics, Pre-Algebra High School Math Teacher (Algebra I, Geometry I, Math for College Readiness) Responsibilities Plan and deliver standards-based lessons that align with district pacing guides and include differentiated supports Manage a structured, supportive classroom environment and use assessment data to adapt instruction Collaborate and communicate proactively with students, families, and colleagues to support academic and behavioral success and promote school spirit Administer statewide assessments accurately and use results to guide instruction Model professionalism, reliability, and a growth mindset Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in the relevant subject area (Science, Math, or related STEM field) Valid Florida DOE certification in the appropriate area: Science certification (Grades 5-9) for Middle School Science Mathematics certification (Grades 5-9) for Middle School Math Mathematics certification (Grades 6-12) for Algebra & Geometry Completion of Level 2 fingerprint-based background screening Experience teaching the relevant grade levels; early-career teachers welcome, with mentorship provided Preferred Qualifications Excellent communicator: responsive and able to build positive partnerships with students, families, and colleagues Strong classroom management and organizational skills, with ability to integrate differentiated supports and troubleshoot basic technology issues Experience working with diverse learners and familiarity with MTSS supports, demonstrating adaptability and collaborative problem-solving Professional, reliable, and growth-oriented: models initiative, punctuality, and contributes positively to school culture Benefits & Compensation Supportive and supportive school leadership and a positive, collaborative staff culture Competitive salary based on experience as a certified teacher (starting at $47,500), 10-month contract paid over 12 months; stipends available for advanced degrees Health, dental, vision, and life insurance with no summer coverage gap Paid time off, accruing up to 10 days per year, plus professional development assistance Extended planning time
