This position focuses on teaching core high school math courses—including Geometry, Algebra II, PreCalculus, and Statistics—while preparing students for success on the SAT through both content instruction and test-taking strategies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or higher Florida Department of Education Certification in Mathematics 6-12 (Temporary, Professional, or Statement of Eligibility) Experience teaching high school math and preparing students for standardized exams preferred
Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging math instruction aligned with curriculum standards and SAT preparation Teach test-taking strategies to maximize student performance on college entrance exams Create and implement lesson plans that drive student achievement and mastery Provide individualized support to meet diverse student needs Maintain a positive, structured, and student-centered classroom environment Communicate consistently with parents, colleagues, and administrators Collaborate with the math department and participate in school-wide initiatives Pursue professional development and stay current with educational trends and best practices Why Join Mater Academy Charter Middle/High School?
