Qualifications:

Core Instructional Responsibilities:
Implement a rigorous curriculum aligned with the Florida Standards Prepare lesson plans that differentiate instruction to meet the needs of students with various learning styles Maintain attendance and grade records as required by the school Conduct ongoing assessment of student achievement through formal and informal testing and use that data to drive instruction Ensure that all 504 plans and IEPs are met to support the individual needs of all students Plan and use appropriate instructional and learning strategies; daily activities, materials, and technology that demonstrate an understanding of the various learning styles and needs of all students Establish and maintain standards of student behavior needed to provide an orderly, productive classroom environment Maintain open and regular communication through conferences and data chats with parents, students, colleagues, and principals to discuss academic, behavioral, and social progress Enforce and uphold the school’s mission, vision, values, policies, culture, and model the school’s values in all interactions with students, colleagues, families, and the community Demonstrate content mastery Work collaboratively as a team Adhere to all child abuse reporting requirements/laws Comply with the standards of conduct, ethics, and/or conflicts of interest for teachers and/or employees of the school Attend department, staff, school, district, and parent meetings Participate in various students and school activities Perform supervisory duties as assigned by the Principal and Assistant Principals (morning and afternoon duty, administer state tests, etc.) Maintain current state licensure(s) and/or certification(s) as required by the law Pursue and engage in opportunities for professional growth Perform other duties as assigned by Administration Visit us at www.somersetcanyons.com for more information about our school.
