Duties:

• Develop and implement engaging and effective lesson plans for mathematics classes.
• Provide instruction to students on various mathematical concepts and problem-solving techniques.
• Assess student performance and provide feedback to support their academic growth.
• Utilize educational technology and resources to enhance the learning experience.
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop interdisciplinary projects and activities.
• Participate in education administration tasks, such as attending faculty meetings and professional development sessions.
• Support students with special education needs, adapting instructional strategies as necessary.
• Manage student behavior in the classroom, implementing appropriate disciplinary measures when needed.
• Assist in instructional design, developing innovative approaches to teaching mathematics concepts.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Teaching certification or licensure in Mathematics Education, or the abiltiy to obtain a teaching certificate in 6-8 Math.
• Strong knowledge of mathematical concepts across various grade levels.
• Familiarity with working with diverse student populations, including students with special needs.
• Proficient in behavior management techniques and classroom discipline strategies.
• Familiarity with educational technology tools and resources for mathematics instruction.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with colleagues, students, and parents.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of students.
• Strong organizational skills for lesson planning, grading, and record keeping.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development in the field of mathematics education.
