Duties:
- Develop and implement engaging and effective lesson plans for mathematics classes.
- Provide instruction to students on various mathematical concepts and problem-solving techniques.
- Assess student performance and provide feedback to support their academic growth.
- Utilize educational technology and resources to enhance the learning experience.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop interdisciplinary projects and activities.
- Participate in education administration tasks, such as attending faculty meetings and professional development sessions.
- Support students with special education needs, adapting instructional strategies as necessary.
- Manage student behavior in the classroom, implementing appropriate disciplinary measures when needed.
- Assist in instructional design, developing innovative approaches to teaching mathematics concepts.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Teaching certification or licensure in Mathematics Education, or the abiltiy to obtain a teaching certificate in 6-8 Math.
- Strong knowledge of mathematical concepts across various grade levels.
- Familiarity with working with diverse student populations, including students with special needs.
- Proficient in behavior management techniques and classroom discipline strategies.
- Familiarity with educational technology tools and resources for mathematics instruction.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with colleagues, students, and parents.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of students.
- Strong organizational skills for lesson planning, grading, and record keeping.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development in the field of mathematics education.
