DESCRIPTION
About Create Your Dreams (CYD) Create Your Dreams (CYD) is a year-round, long-term youth development program dedicated to nurturing the dreams and talents of students living in underserved areas of Atlanta. CYD provides the vital resources, relationships and opportunities students need to reach their full potential. CYD students live in communities experiencing community-wide poverty on the Westside of Atlanta. The average family income is under $20,000. Many of our students endure ongoing community violence, struggle with food insecurity, and attend underperforming schools with undiagnosed learning disorders. Typically, CYD students are not on grade level and many of the schools they attend lack the academic support needed for students to excel. CYD was established in 1994.
