Math Teacher Braselton Christian Academy 401 Zion Church Road, Braselton, GA 30517 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Mathematics Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mathematics and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment. This role involves teaching various mathematics courses, developing instructional materials, and engaging students in meaningful learning experiences. The Mathematics Teacher will play a crucial role in shaping students’ understanding of mathematical concepts and their applications. Duties Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and educational goals. Teach a range of mathematics topics, including but not limited to discrete math, algebra, geometry, and calculus. Utilize instructional design techniques to create engaging and effective learning materials. Assess student performance through assignments, tests, and projects; provide constructive feedback to support student growth. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding academic progress and classroom dynamics. Incorporate research-based strategies into teaching practices to enhance student understanding and retention of mathematical concepts. Collaborate with other educators to develop interdisciplinary lessons that integrate mathematics with subjects like biochemistry or cell biology when applicable. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and best practices. Requirements Higher education teaching experience is preferred. Strong knowledge of mathematical principles and the ability to calculate complex problems accurately. Experience in instructional design and the ability to create effective educational resources. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage students effectively. Familiarity with library services for research purposes is a plus.
