High School Math Teacher New England Academy 96 Cherry Hill Drive, Beverly, MA 01915 Job Summary New England Academy (Beverly Campus) is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and skilled High School Math Teacher to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching Math and a strong understanding of the diverse needs of students, particularly those with social and emotional challenges. The position is focused on teaching courses in: Geometry and Algebra 2. We are seeking a highly organized, experienced professional candidate to serve in the role of high school math teacher for grades 10-12. The ideal candidate will have experience working with adolescents with social and/or emotional challenges, IEP writing and implementation, and participation in Team meetings. This position requires a commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive, and engaging classroom environment that supports the academic and emotional development of all students. New England Academy is a private, special education therapeutic day school that specializes in trauma-informed supports for students with a variety of complex social/emotional disabilities ranging from grades 7-12. New England Academy offers students a supportive, non-behavioral learning environment that addresses their executive functioning and social emotional needs in the context of an academically rigorous curriculum in order to prepare for post secondary life. Instructional Responsibilities Implement an engaging and effective math curriculum for high school students. Use a variety of teaching methods and strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities. Evaluate and assess student progress through a variety of methods, including quizzes, exams, projects, and class participation. Collaborate with counselors, special education staff, and administrators to provide tailored support for students. Use strategies to provide a safe, supportive environment that promotes emotional well-being. Establish clear expectations for behavior and performance and consistently provide a predictable academic routine. Provide differentiated instruction and flexibility as well as accommodations for students with social and emotional challenges. Foster positive relationships with students to help build trust and self-esteem. Familiarity with relevant technology tools to enhance science instruction and student engagement Qualifications Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Master’s degree in Education and/or Special Education preferred Strong experience in math content Valid DESE licensure in science for high school level Math and/or Special Education – Moderate Disabilities Experience working with students with social and emotional challenges. Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills. Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students. $65,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
