MATH TEACHER
•SWAMPSCOTT
HIGH SCHOOL
•SY25-26 Swampscott High School is seeking a dynamic educator to join its Mathematics Department. We are seeking an energetic, flexible, enthusiastic teacher who has experience teaching high school students. Courseload could include Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II and other courses as needed within the department.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Math required. Master’s Degree preferred. MA Math 9•12 teaching license SEI Endorsement At a minimum, two years of high school teaching experience Knowledge of Aspen, Zoom, Google Classroom, and G-Suite Apps.
Preferred candidates should also have:
A growth mindset Familiarity with Smartboard technology, Promethean board technology, and using graphing calculators/Desmos. Experience designing and implementing engaging lessons. Commitment to cultural competency Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with all stakeholders including, students, colleagues, and families/caregivers
Physical Requirements:
This position may require long periods of sitting; talking or hearing in person and by telephone; using hands to finger, handle, or feel objects or controls; reaching with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision and the ability to adjust focus. The individual may be exposed to ultraviolet lights as are found in computer monitors and copying equipment. The individual may be exposed to various hazards in the building.
