We are seeking a dedicated, student-centered, and empathetic Algebra 2 and Pre-Calculus teacher to join our strong math team for the 2025-2026 academic year and beyond. Plan instruction using approved curriculum, data, and subject matter expertise to meet the diverse needs of all students
Establish clear expectations, routines, and a respectful, safe, and student-centered environment
Use a variety of instructional strategies to engage students and support individual learning goals
Set ambitious academic goals and utilize data to measure progress, inform instruction, and provide timely feedback to students and families
Collaborate with colleagues to support overall school and district effectiveness
Engage in continuous professional reflection and growth to enhance instructional practices
Serve as a leader in advancing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in classrooms, curriculum, and school culture
Uphold professionalism, effective communication, and leadership as integral parts of your teaching practice
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor’s degree
Appropriate Maine DOE certification (or ability to obtain)
U.S. citizenship, residency, or work authorization
Preferred:
Master’s degree
At least 2 years of relevant teaching experience

Terms of Employment:
Salary and work year will be established by the School Board and reflected in the collective bargaining agreement.

Performance will be evaluated in accordance with RSU 21 School Board policy
GCOA:
Evaluation of Certified Staff Members. This position will remain open until a qualified candidate is hired.
