8th Grade Math Teacher 4.0 4.0 out of 5 stars Aberdeen, MS 39730 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Mathematics Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mathematics, with the ability to educate and inspire students in various mathematical concepts, including Trigonometry and higher-level mathematics. This role requires effective instructional design skills and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement and academic success. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and educational goals. Educate students on mathematical concepts, including but not limited to Trigonometry, algebra, calculus, and statistics. Utilize instructional design techniques to create effective teaching materials and assessments. Assess student progress through regular evaluations, providing constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes. Foster a supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration. Incorporate technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance the learning experience. Collaborate with fellow educators to share best practices and improve instructional strategies. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and methodologies. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. Proven experience in higher education teaching or tutoring in mathematics subjects. Strong knowledge of mathematical principles, including Trigonometry, cell biology, biochemistry, genetics, and laboratory techniques is a plus. Excellent proofreading skills to ensure clarity and accuracy in instructional materials. Ability to conduct research related to educational practices and student learning outcomes. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage students of diverse backgrounds effectively. A commitment to fostering an inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners.
