State Teacher Salary + [10.5% – 18% local supplement]
Position Purpose:
An academic interventionist is an education professional who provides direct literacy or math instruction to students in the regular education environment who are identified as off track for meeting grade level standards in either ELA or math. Work with others by participating as a team member, serving clients/customers, negotiating, and working with diversity.
Acquire and use information.
Work with and operate effectively within social organizations and technological systems.
Work with a variety of technologies.
Contribute to the development of reading, writing, listening, speaking, and mathematical skills.
Contribute to the development of thinking creatively, making decisions, solving problems, and reasoning.

Minimum Degree Level:
Bachelor’s Degree (click here for more info about Master’s pay)
Alternative Licensed Pathways:
If you are offered a position with BCS, our licensure specialist can share information on the 1-year Emergency License and later work with you to convert this to a Residency License.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
18 semester hours of relevant coursework
2.7 GPA (undergraduate coursework or post-graduate coursework)
Ability to produce an official, degree dated transcript from an accredited university
Former Lateral Entry license candidates are eligible to apply
