Date of Posting Tuesday, June 10, 2025 Closing Date of Posting Until Filled Nature of Work The Math Facilitator collaborates with the North Carolina Virtual Public Schools Instructor to support the effective delivery of high-quality mathematics instruction. This role focuses on reinforcing state standards and research-based practices by facilitating student engagement, monitoring progress, and providing supplemental academic support as needed. Duties and Responsibilities Collaborate with the NCVPS Instructor to implement math instruction aligned with district and state standards. Provide classroom-based support to the NCVPS instructor through modeling lessons and observing instruction. Support the integration of technology into math instruction to enhance learning. Stay current with research and trends in mathematics education and share relevant information with staff. Assist in identifying and addressing gaps in student learning through collaboration with the NCVPS Instructor Perform other related duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Possess strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively and collaboratively as a team member to solve problems. Sound judgement and decision-making skills are essential. Serve as a positive role model for students. Integrity to maintain the confidentiality of student information. Ability to exercise good judgement and work in an environment with frequent interruptions. Ability to demonstrate patience and compassion when dealing with students and/or parents. Skilled in identifying student learning and personal needs and collaborating with other professionals to provide needed resources or interventions. Education and Experience Requirements Minimum of an Associate’s degree or 48 hours of college transferrable hours. Successful experience working with students who need academic intervention is desirable.
