Date of Posting April 28, 2025 Closing Date of Posting Until filled Nature of Work The purpose of this position is to provide quality instruction to students in a 9-12 learning environment, guiding them to develop and fulfill their academic potential. Work is performed under the supervision of the principal. Duties and Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons and instructional materials that facilitate active learning. Instruct and monitor students in use of learning materials and equipment. Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction. Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures. Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school. Maintain accurate and complete records of students’ progress and development. Participate in department, school, district, and parent meetings Observe and evaluate student’s performance and development. Assign and grade class work, homework, tests, and assignments. Perform other related duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to communicate clearly in written and electronic formats; as well as; in-person. Ability to use a computer or other electronic devices for the purpose of communication, instruction, data recording, and location of information. Ability to collaborate with district staff to identify and solve problems. Ability to demonstrate patience and compassion when dealing with students and/or parents and their personal and educational needs. Skill in identifying student learning and personal needs and collaborating with other professionals to provide needed resources or interventions.
