The Lower School Math Teacher is a full-time position. Duties begin in August 2025. A St. Timothy’s Lower School Teacher will:

  • Display a strong knowledge of developmental stages, differentiation and inquiry-based learning, and have familiarity with appropriate developmental educational programs.
  • Collaborate and plan lessons/curriculum in a two
  • or three-teacher grade level team, overseen by the Lower School Head.
  • Create a supportive and caring classroom environment in which students can learn and interact positively with one another through student-centered instruction, collaboration, imaginative play, hands-on learning, and authentic skills-based assessment.
  • Bring innovation and creativity to the classroom.
  • Be comfortable with integrating technology into the curriculum, collaborating with colleagues and working with children.
  • Display excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to create and maintain accurate student records.
  • Demonstrate high energy and commitment to professional development, staying current on research in education, independent schools and child development. Candidates must meet the following requirements:
