In addition to having strong content knowledge, PSPA teachers must excel at connecting with students in a way that makes learning fun and relevant, and builds upon their existing knowledge and skill level. This position requires someone who is able to effectively assist in providing instruction in-person and virtually. Responsibilities Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles. Educate students on mathematics, ensuring comprehension and retention of material. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and any concerns. Provide academic advising to students, guiding them in their educational paths and future aspirations. Assess student performance through tests, assignments, and projects, providing constructive feedback. Engage in project-based learning related to the NC standards math curriculum. Utilize digital and hands-on services and resources to enhance instructional design and support student learning. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and best practices. Involvement and engagement in school events, actvities, field trips, etc. Skills Appreciation for the life and mind of the K-10 scholar and future leader of our world Experience teaching high school math courses: Math 1 & Math 2.
