Mathematics Teacher 3.7 3.7 out of 5 stars 138 Spit Brook Road, Nashua, NH 03062 World Academy is currently seeking an innovative educator with experience teaching upper level students (grades 5-8) with a focus on Mathematics for the 25-26 school year. Applicants must be able to instruct students, ensuring that each individual is provided with the knowledge, proficiencies, and experiences to become successful, contributing global citizens and mathematicians. Experience in standards-based and project based instruction and assessment is desired. The ideal candidates should be leaders in the field with a focus on Mathematics. They will be responsible for providing instruction that enhances critical thinking skills, contributes to a climate where students are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences, and provides a safe learning environment. Candidates must hold at least a Bachelor’s degree and possess a valid NH or MA teacher certification (or from a state with recognized reciprocity for either) in Elementary Education K-8 or Mathematics (5-8 or 5-12). New Hampshire Highly Qualified Teacher status, or its equivalent from another state, is a plus. The breadth of experiences include, but are not limited to: the ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with teachers, students, and parents, providing project-based learning, demonstrating knowledge of 21st century learning, educational techniques and methods, adapting to students’ individual learning styles, creating learning activities and curriculum with resources that correlate with instructional objectives, the ability to effectively integrate appropriate technology and effectively integrate curricula with other disciplines, providing proactive and positive behavior management techniques for students in order to assist them in demonstrating responsible behavior, utilizing homework as a tool for the reinforcement of classroom instruction, supervising or assisting with relevant field trips and extracurricular programs for the benefit of the school, and performing related duties as assigned.
