is looking for a patient, caring licensededucator to teach high school level math to our students, age 16-24at our beautiful campus right next to the Veterans’ MemorialCemetery in Exeter.

SALARY:

The Math Teacher isresponsible for providing basic math instruction and training tostudents in the Career Education Center. This individual willdevelop individual achievement plans and academic goals to ensurestudent academic achievement in the program. Works with the CareerTechnical Training (CTT) Instructors to infuse applied academicsinto CTT curricula to enhance student learning and success.

Responsibilities:
Teaching:

Plan, prepare, and deliver effectivelessons that align with the curriculum and educational goals.

Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment thatencourages student participation and engagement. Utilize variousinstructional methods and resources to accommodate diverse learningstyles.

Curriculum Development:

Collaborate with the education teamto develop and update curriculum materials that meet industrystandards and educational requirements. Integrate real-worldexamples and practical applications into lesson plans to enhancerelevance and student understanding.

Assessment and Evaluation:

Implement regular assessments to gauge student progress and adjustinstructional strategies accordingly. Provide constructive feedbackto students on their academic performance and offer guidance forimprovement.

Student Support:

Offer additional support to studentswho may require extra assistance in grasping academic concepts.

Collaborate with other instructors and support staff to addressindividual student needs and challenges.

Professional Development:

Stay informed about current educational trends, teachingmethodologies, and industry-specific developments. Participate inprofessional development activities and training to enhanceteaching skills and knowledge.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degreefrom an accredited school required, Master’s degree preferred ValidRI teaching certificate required Previous teaching or Job Corpsexperience strongly preferred Physical requirements includesitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/orpushing, carrying, reaching, stooping, and crouching “Adams andAssociates, Inc. abides by the requirements of 41 CFR §§60-300.5(a) and 60-741.5(a).
