The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in their field of expertise and demonstrate a passion for teaching and mentoring students. This role involves delivering high-quality instruction, fostering an engaging learning environment, and contributing to the academic success of students in various disciplines. Faculty Job Description In collaboration with Dean of Academic Affairs, responsible for reviewing and maintaining the integrity of the curriculum offered by Eastern International College Teach assigned classes in accordance with course syllabi and maintain appropriate student records on achievement and attendance. Review and update course outlines recommend text selection and syllabi in cooperation with the Dean of Academic Affairs. Propose and develop new courses as appropriate for continued program growth. Modify, when necessary, curricula and/or teaching style based on supervisor assessment, professional improvement plan (PIP) and professional development experiences. Evaluate and assess student academic achievement. Maintain current instructional standards and communicate these standards with students, in writing (syllabi), of such standards and policies. Provide input to the Dean of Academic Affairs on scheduling and budgetary needs. Maintain certificates and/or licenses as necessary for employment eligibility. Maintain acceptable standards of conduct for the profession at all times. Maintain an awareness of new instructional technology and teaching methodology. Participate in a self-evaluation process for the individual and the department. Attend professional development workshops. Hold or seek membership in local, state, and/or national professional organizations. Adhere to the start and end policy for all instructional assignments. Enforce all institutional rules and regulations relating to classroom environment, student responsibilities and, all other policies listed in the student handbook and faculty handbook. Assure that no college property leaves the premises unless approved by the Campus Director, Dean of Academic Affairs, or President/CEO. Attend and participate in Faculty meetings and Faculty Committees. Ensures FERPA, OSHA, and HIPAA compliance with state and federal regulations; administers operator entry, and scheduling components; trains staff, faculty, and students in proper use; assists in the development of policies and procedures for records protocol. Other duties to support instruction, as assigned by the Dean of Academic Affairs. Minimum Qualifications

  • MS/MA in Mathematics, MEd in Math Education, or any related degree
  • At least a year of college or high school teaching experience
  • Able to teach any (or all) of these courses : Elementary Algebra, College Algebra, Statistics
  • Technology proficiency and familiarity with a learning management system
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment
  • Willingness and availability to attend orientation.
