Job Description
Middle Grades Teacher, Mathematics 4.7 4.7 out of 5 stars Colonia, NJ 07067 A mid-sized Catholic elementary school is seeking a mathematics teacher to instruct students in grades 7 & 8. In this position, you will be required to craft and present lessons, as well as perform the following tasks: Provide content-related and appropriate instruction; Provide classroom environment which promotes active learning in subject area; Exhibit knowledge of performance-based instruction and assessment; Communicate effectively, efficiently, and responsibly with students, parents, colleagues, and school leadership; Account for student attendance and punctuality; and Follow professional ethics in all work-related activities.
Education Required:
Bachelor’s degree
Qualifications:
NJ Standard Certification or CEAS/CE or working toward certification; Middle school teaching experience preferred Experience with Google applications Current research in instruction and best practices Experience with educational technology Appropriate student assessment strategies Effective classroom management techniques Ability to design and deliver effective instruction to diverse learners
