Teaching Full Job Description DUTIES:

ESSENTIAL CORE CHARACTERISTICS

Successful candidate will have certification in Elementary Education 1-6 required, B-6 with Literacy certification preferred. Experience teaching elementary, grades K-6 Willing to participate in Professional Development Experience with the implementation of the Common Core Standards, NYSE, ELA and Math Modules and instructional strategies Experience implementing Common core aligned units, lesson and assessments Effective classroom management skills, demonstrated knowledge of the curriculum, including planning, execution, and evaluation of materials, supplies and lessons Strong math and literacy background Character traits necessary to teach young children
