POSITION
Hourly Academic Teachers (PT- FTE Based on Enrollment)
ASSIGNMENT
Incarcerated Education/Alternative High School Program
SITE/BUILDING
Riverhead Correctional Facility, Riverhead
Yaphank Correctional Facility, Yaphank
Alternative High School Program
RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively engage students in the delivery of high-quality instruction that reflects the diverse backgrounds of the participants in an alternative setting
Establish a supportive classroom environment that fosters the social-emotional learning of all students
Differentiate instruction to meet the academic needs of all students
Collaborate with colleagues and program partners in an integrated approach that utilizes various curriculum to create lessons aligned to current NYS learning standards
Demonstrate commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment
START DATE

SALARY:
$51.22/hour (BA) | $55.35/hour (MA)
Job Qualifications
NYS Teacher Certification (7-12) – Science or Math
Dual certification preferred
