Job Description
Faculty member in the STEM department teaching four class sections in a combination of math, physics, and engineering classes based on school needs. Provide effective and innovative instruction in introductory and intermediate STEM courses. Developing high school STEM curriculum. Maintain effective classroom management and execute effective instructional plans. Deliever curriculum and instruction in STEM utilizing appropriate and effective 21st century teaching/learning methodologies and technology. Serve as Lead teacher in Pre-Calculus or other high school-level math course. Regularly attend faculty meetings, grade level meetings, department meetings, mandatory school events and professional development opportunites. Possess an interdisciplinary mindset and a demonstrated ability to partner with colleagues. Help to promote and maintain a sense of community and collaboration withing the department and across all areas of school life. Serve as academic advisor to assigned students. Serve as dorm parent or cottage affiliate. Serve as club lead moderator or athletic coach. Requires a Bachelor’s degee in Mathematics or Engineering (or foreign equivalent) and 2 years (24 months) of experience woking in an all-male or boarding environment. Also requires 2 years of experience of classroom management, serving as a student advisor, serving as a dorm affiliate or live-in dormitory parent, serving as lead moderator for a club or experience with coaching a sport.
