This role is eligible for a $5,000 bonus as well as up to $5,000for relocation expenses! New teachers start at $60,000, withMastery offering up to $82,000 based on experience and education.

Salaries range from $60,000 to $111,000, with growth opportunitiesas your career progresses.

The Opportunity:

As a Math Teacher atMastery you will work relentlessly to foster a love of math withyour students while growing and developing in your craft. From themoment they enter our buildings, young mathematicians at Masteryengage with the cutting edge, open-source Eureka Math Curriculum todevelop the skills and understanding necessary to have strongmathematical fluency. Our Kindergarteners through 8th Graders learnwith Eureka so that, from 9th through 12th Grade, they are preparedfor the rigors of higher math. From 9th through 12th Grade,Mastery’s students study Algebra I, Geometry and Algebra II, withopportunities for more advanced study in Precalculus, Calculus andStatistics. Our core program for Algebra I/II, Geometry andPrecalculus is Agile Mind . Teaching math at Mastery you will sethigh expectations and provide high support so that all of yourstudents are able to succeed. You will work alongside ourSpecialized Services and School Culture teams to ensure yourstudents receive the help they need to thrive. At Mastery we valueContinuous Improvement and want you to learn and grow in yourcraft. We utilize a team of Assistant Principals, central-officecoaches, and school-based content teams to provide every teachercoaching and feedback. We have professional development or peercollaboration time built into our staff calendar. You will receivemore than 250 hours of professional development annually and have aprofessional development allowance to use to further your growth.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Drive student achievement and set highexpectations for all students Commit to professional growth,self-reflection, a receptiveness to feedback, and a desire tocontinuously improve Implement rigorous and appropriate lessonplans, assignments, and assessments in cooperation with Masteryschool-based leadership and curricular resources developed byMastery’s central office Academic Team Work closely with schoolleaders to analyze student assessment data to measure progress anduse data to inform instruction Collaborate in grade level teams todiscuss student work, share best practices, plan events for joy andhumor, and ensure student mastery of standards Engage families intheir children’s education by building relationships andmaintaining regular communication Demonstrate genuine interest,belief, and care for students’ personal and academic successRespond positively and effectively to challenges with asolutions-oriented resiliency

Education, Experience, and Skills:

Bachelor’s degree required with a record of personal, professional,and/or academic achievement Teacher certification – completed or inprocess Demonstrated expertise in subject area Outstandinginstructional skills driven by data and delivered through rigorousand engaging strategies

Physical Requirements:

Ability tophysically perform the essential duties of the role, and to work inthe environmental conditions required, such as: traveling tonetwork campuses; maneuvering in office spaces (including standing,walking, sitting for long periods of time, speaking loudly andclearly, seeing and hearing things both near and far away);stooping, kneeling, reaching file cabinets/shelves; fine finger andhand manipulation in use of computer, chalkboard, dry erase,&/or projectors; filing, faxing, scanning, coping, typing,mailing, and making phone calls; sitting for up to two (2) hourslooking at a computer monitor, using a keyboard/mouse, and typing.masteryschools
