The School of Arts and Sciences seeks adjunct faculty to teach introductory math courses to health science majors (premed, pharmacy, nursing, etc.) for the upcoming academic year (Fall 2025•Spring 2026). Possible courses include Algebra and Trigonometry, Precalculus, Calculus I, and Statistics; all are taught as face-to-face, in-person courses. Successful candidates will have at least one year of experience teaching math at the college level.
Delivers engaging didactic instruction in face-to-face, in-person classes
Provides engaging assignments that demonstrate real-world applications of concepts covered
Provides students with an approved syllabus that includes course objectives and learning outcomes, teaching methodology, attendance policies in line with those of the School, texts and readings, assignments and deliverables, timelines and evaluation criteria
Uses the University’s learning management system to post syllabus, assignments and other materials and to communicate with students
Advises and assists students through in-person office hours or scheduled appointments, by videoconference, phone or email, and through other University-approved mechanisms
Requirements Required:
Advanced degree (masters or above) in mathematics or allied discipline
Minimum of one (1) year of teaching math courses at the college/university level
Commitment to undergraduate student success
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Must be able to work independently and effectively interact with a wide array of parties at all levels (students, faculty, and administration/staff) Apply
