Chair of the Department of Oncology Position Available In New York, New York

Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Montefiore Health System seek a Chair for the Department of Oncology We invite applications and nominations for an outstanding researcher, clinician, and leader at the Associate Professor or Professor rank, with broad experience and vision to lead the department. The successful candidate will have opportunities to recruit new faculty and expand research programs. Department Overview Established in 1979, the Montefiore Einstein Department of Oncology comprises 81 faculty members, including medical doctors, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners, with 42 engaged in basic, clinical, and translational science. It is closely aligned with the Montefiore Einstein Comprehensive Cancer Center, designated by the NCI in 1972. The department offers an interactive environment with well-equipped core facilities and a clinical and translational research institute. It manages a large clinical operation across three main campuses, with 60 hospital beds and 3,300 discharges annually, operating 90 outpatient infusion chairs in five locations. Institutional Context Montefiore Einstein serves as the umbrella organization for Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Montefiore Health System. Einstein is a leading research-intensive medical school with over 2,000 faculty members, numerous students, and NIH-funded research centers in various fields including cancer and diabetes. Montefiore provides healthcare to approximately three million people across several regions, with multiple hospitals and outpatient sites.

Compensation Range:
