Job Purpose
Teach courses and provide service for the Department of Mathematics.

Essential Functions
Duties include teaching 13 to 15 semester credit hours of mathematics courses per semester, consisting of contact hours in the classroom or online, and additional service associated with student success.
Minimum Qualifications
A graduate degree from an accredited institution earned by August 2025 in mathematics, mathematics education, or statistics with at least 18 graduate credit hours in mathematics.
Experience as the instructor of record for at least 6 semester credit hours in undergraduate mathematics, or equivalent teaching experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated effectiveness in instruction of standard lower-division mathematics courses.
Experience teaching a variety of undergraduate mathematics content.
Experience teaching learning support sections of undergraduate math courses.
Experience teaching large classes.
Experience in teaching in different class models, i.e. an Emporium lab-based model, “flipped classroom”, etc.
Effective communication skills.
Work Hours:
Salary:
Commensurate with education and experience. Full-time, nine-month, non-tenure-track position to begin August 2025. Three-year contract renewable based on satisfactory performance review.
