Grade Teacher:
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Education (required) Valid teaching certification (required) Minimum of two years of relevant classroom teaching experience Proficient in educational technology and digital tools CPR and First Aid certification (preferred) Core Responsibilities Create and maintain an engaging, age-appropriate classroom environment that encourages curiosity, learning, and personal growth Design and implement effective lesson plans that align with the school’s curriculum and learning objectives Apply a variety of instructional strategies to address individual learning styles and needs Assess student learning regularly and use data to inform instruction Foster a classroom culture of respect, responsibility, and positive behavior Communicate clearly and effectively with students, parents, colleagues, and the broader school community Demonstrate ethical behavior, professionalism, and a commitment to continuous learning Instructional & Administrative Duties Exhibit strong content knowledge for Lower School grade levels Integrate technology effectively into lessons, communication, and administrative tasks Manage student records and assessment data using Gradelink or similar platforms Prepare detailed and effective substitute plans when necessary Collaborate with colleagues on grade-level curriculum planning and development Support and participate in school-wide events, activities, and extracurricular programs Attend faculty meetings and professional development sessions Physical & Environmental Expectations Occasional travel and after-hours work may be required Frequent standing, walking, bending, and use of hands Must be able to lift light classroom equipment or supplies Maintain emotional composure under pressure and in dynamic school settings Why Join Us?
