Summer Learning Administrator/Principal Job Summary:
This role involves offering tailored individual and group instruction to student participating in the 21st CCLC program. Additionally, it include tracking student progress and applying the curriculum according to their needs. The teacher or instructor will also manage benchmark assessments and progress monitoring data, sharing these results and parents with the Site Coordinator.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Participate in planning and coordinating meetings with Summer Learning Program staff. Assess student readiness and determine individual and group academic needs. Set clear, measurable learning goals aligned with summer learning objectives. Design and deliver engaging, hands-on lessons that promote active learning and skill reinforcement. Implement research-based instructional strategies and Best Practices tailored to diverse learners. Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that fosters respect and collaborations. Manage student behavior effectively to ensure a focused, supportive learning atmosphere. Provide academic and social emotional support to students, addressing adjustment challenges as needed. Communicate consistently with families regarding student progress, behavior, and achievements. Accurately record daily student attendance and participate in data tracking for program evaluation. Maintain and care for classroom materials, technology, and equipment. Ensure a safe and secure environment aligned with program safety protocols and student well-being. Promote positive student interactions and a growth mindset through encouragement and positive reinforcement. Motivate student to take ownership of their learning and develop self-direction skills. Utilize a variety of instructional materials and enrichment resources to enhance student engagement. Comply with all district policies, administrative procedures, and applicable state and federal regulations. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Program Director, or other designated supervisor.
Qualifications:
Required Minimum of one year of successful experience as a classroom teacher. Current Alabama Teacher’s Certification. Excellent written and oral Communication. Desired Master’s Degree Work experience related to grant programs/proposals.

Term of Employment:
Salary and benefits in accordance with a compensation program recommended by the administration and approved by the Midfield Board of Education. This position is non-tenure track position.
