English Teacher Middle School 4.0 4.0 out of 5 stars Alexander City, AL 35010 Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and will be responsible for educating students in the English language, literature, and writing. This position is suitable for those with experience in private school settings, particularly those familiar with Montessori methods. The English Teacher will utilize instructional design techniques and learning technology to enhance classroom experiences. Duties Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that adhere to the Chicago Manual Style for writing and formatting. Educate students on various aspects of the English language, including grammar, literature analysis, and composition. Foster a supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking. Utilize learning technology to create interactive lessons that cater to diverse learning styles. Collaborate with other educators in the development of interdisciplinary projects, including connections with math and other subjects. Assess student progress through various evaluation methods and provide constructive feedback. Participate in education administration tasks as required, including parent-teacher conferences and curriculum development. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field; teaching certification preferred. Experience teaching in a private school or Montessori environment is highly desirable. Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively engage students and parents alike. Familiarity with instructional design principles and educational technologies.
