The goal of the ASEP is to provide a safe and enriching program which supports the family, school, and community. It provides opportunities for children to develop socially, emotionally, and physically, within a warm and caring atmosphere. •Must have reliable transportation and be able to pass a background screening•Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated after-school counselor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in fostering a positive learning environment that supports the academic and personal growth of students. This position requires a commitment to nurturing young minds, implementing engaging activity plans, and promoting a love for the arts. Duties Provide a safe and supportive environment for students. Help children manage emotions, develop empathy, and resolve conflicts. Reinforce positive behavior and establish clear expectations. Intervene in disciplinary issues and help students reflect on their behavior. Collaborate with staff to implement behavior plans when necessary. Assist students with homework and study skills. Encourage time management and organizational skills. Help plan and supervise enrichment activities, such as arts, games, or social skill-building exercises.
